The Position

Are you a highly motivated Registered Nurse ready to undertake this key leadership role?

The After Hours Hospital Coordinator is a pivotal member of the health care team providing after hours leadership and management of the nursing team and hospital.

As the After Hours Hospital Coordinator your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
  • Support and liaise with the respective Clinical Nurses of wards and departments
  • Ensure all areas are staffed appropriately and cost efficient
  • Manage patient flow, coordinate and plan operational processes, working within the budget direction of the Hospital
  • Coordinate patient admissions
  • Support the Hospital's commitment to quality improvement and achievement of National Safety & Quality Health Care Standards
  • Maintain the safety of all staff, patients and visitors

 

The Location

Located in South Western Sydney

 

Essential Criteria

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA
  • Registration with at least 5 years experience
  • Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff
  • Ability to manage multi tasks and coordinate resources appropriately
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated management and leadership skills
  • People leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members
  • Completion or working towards post graduate qualification in management - desirable
  • Recent management experience at Nurse Unit Manager or Hospital Coordinator level - desirable
