The Position

As Clinical Nurse Specialist leading our Angiography team your responsibilities would include (in addition to those of a level RN level 2);

  • Creating, reviewing and implementing policies, protocols and guidelines according to best, evidenced based practices
  • Relieving NUM for leave coverage
  • Daily administrative management Cath lab including roster formation, theatre/ lab daily allocation and KPI management
  • Working in conjunction with SDN in the identification and delivery of educational needs and assisting with performance management
  • Stock management
  • Identifying and leading Quality initiatives
  • Support staff championing portfolios e.g. infection control, falls, Pressure injury to meet all accreditation KPIs and Audits
  • OHS and Risk management
  • Work alongside NUM, SDN and Chief radiographer in meeting accreditation and DOH standards

Located in Perth

 

Essential Criteria

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Comprehensive theoretical knowledge and clinical experience in interventional cardiology
  • Evidenced two-year experience in leadership position
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
  • Have the energy, motivation and initiative to coordinate and manage a 4 angiography suites
  • Confident in using word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Post graduate certificate/ diploma in critical care or interventional cardiology - desirable
  • INC member - desirable
  • Peri operative experience - desirable
  • Current advanced life support certification - desirable
