The Position
As the registered nurse you will be responsible for:
- Provide high quality care that meet current best practice standards
- Highly competent scrub/scout in a range of spinal and cranial neurosurgical procedures
- Work closely with ANUM and other staff to ensure delivery of high quality care, efficiency of services and to develop a strong working relationship with the surgeons
- Ability to co-ordinate and manage surgical lists
- Knowledge of current ACORN standards and relevant legislation
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
- Ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Participation in a rotating seven-day roster, including on-call (days negotiable)
The Location
Located in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.
Essential Criteria
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Working with Children check
- Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards
- Proven experience within a similar role and specialty
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Shift work and on call duties compulsory
