The Position
As the After Hours Hospital Coordinator your responsibilities will include:
- Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards
- Support and liaise with the respective Clinical Nurses of wards and departments
- Ensure all areas are staffed appropriately and cost efficient
- Manage patient flow, coordinate and plan operational processes, working within the budget direction of the Hospital
- Coordinate patient admissions
- Support the Hospital's commitment to quality improvement and achievement of National Safety & Quality Health Care Standards
- Maintain the safety of all staff, patients and visitors
The Location
Located in South Western Sydney
Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA
- Minimum 5yrs experience
- Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff
- Ability to manage multi tasks and coordinate resources appropriately
- High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated management and leadership skills
- People leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members
- Completion or working towards post graduate qualification in management - desirable
- Recent management experience at Nurse Unit Manager or Hospital Coordinator level - desirable
