The Position
As the Registered Midwife you will be responsible for:
- Providing midwifery care for women postnatally, in collaboration with the medical team and other health care professionals and independently
- Working professionally, safely and effectively, in accordance with the faciliy's policies and procedures
- Appropriately assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and contemporaneously documents midwifery and neonatal care
- Providing appropriate responses to all relevant emergency situations and takes responsibility for ensuring that all compulsory emergency training competencies have been completed
The Location
Located in the inner suburbs of Melbourne.
Essential Criteria
- Current midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of 5 years Post Graduate Midwifery experience
- Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology – Fetal Surveillance Education Program FSEP – Level 2
- Computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office, IMC, Webpas/IBA, Delacy or similar
- Proficiency in email software and electronic communication
- Willingness to undertake further studies or to pursue other self-development activities
