The Position
As the Nursing Supervisor you are responsible for:
- Applications are sought from experienced RN’s, ideally with Midwifery qualification, to work in a hospital co-ordination role across all areas – Emergency, Theatre, Dialysis, Oncology, Maternity, Acute, Subacute and Residential Aged Care
- Coordinating the provision of safe, effective, evidence based and person centred care throughout the hospital during rostered shifts
- Coordinating a bed management function to ensure timely and appropriate allocation of beds including acceptance of patient transfers to the hospital in the context of patient acuity, nursing resource availability and capacity
The Location
Located in the north west of Victoria, approximately 3 and a half hour drive from Melbourne.
Essential Criteria
- AHPRA Registration (Registered Nurse NMBA) Midwifery qualification desirable but not mandatory
- Relevant post graduate clinical and/or tertiary management qualifications highly regarded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy essential
- National Police Record check
- Understanding of and competence in basic life support techniques, including airway management, ventilation support and circulatory support. ALS competency highly regarded
