The Position

As the Registered Nurse you will be responsible for:

  • Orientation of new staff utilizing educational tools, modules and starter packages/ checklists
  • Identifying suitable preceptor and monitoring closely to facilitate supportive integration into unit
  • Active member at educational meeting
  • Working alongside colleagues to ensure the highest care delivered to patients
  • Developing and reviewing hospital policy, competencies, protocols and guidelines relevant to CCU adhering to Australian standards and best practice guidelines
  • Working with NUM to ensure developmental needs of all staff addressed
  • Delivery and assistance with quality improvements and ACHS requirements including auditing and benchmarking

 

The Location

Located in metro Perth.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Certificate IV workplace training and Assessment (TAE) (or working towards)
  • Post Graduate Certificate in related specialty area (or working towards)
  • Demonstrated delivery on education presentations and hands-on practical education as required
  • Ability to achieve results through consultation, advice and facilitation
  • High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Minimum 12months working as a Registered Nurse in Australia
