The Position
As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager you will be responsible for:
- Providing leadership and direction within the Dual Diagnosis unit
- Acting as a positive role model and providing mentorship / preceptor ship to less experienced nurses, including graduate nurses and under-graduate nursing students
- Being accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources and ensure customer service is maintained at optimal levels

Essential Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
- Minimum 12months working experience as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Additional qualifications, or working toward, in AOD withdrawal/or related field
- Experience in working in mental health/drug and alcohol settings or with people who are affected by mental health/alcohol and or other drug issues (desirable)
- Evidence of a commitment to ongoing professional development and compliance with all Bendigo Health mandatory training requirements (desirable)
- Well-developed verbal, written, interpersonal, communication and computer literacy skills with proficiency in information technology skills in email, internet and word (desirable)
- Ability to liaise and consult with relevant family members, team members and ability to work highly effectively in a multi-disciplinary, multi-functional environment (desirable)
- Demonstrated time management skills to manage a workload, meet deadlines, maintain schedules, set goals/objectives, as required (desirable)
