The Position
As the Registered Nurse you will be responsible for:
- Administration of chemotherapy and supportive treatments
- Providing nursing care required for patients undergoing radiotherapy, systemic anti-cancer therapy and day infusions
- Patient assessment skills
- Management of oncology emergencies
- Educating patients, carers and other health professionals
- Providing supportive care
- Intravenous cannulation
- Accessing and managing Central Venous Access Devices

Essential Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
- Minimum 12months working experience as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Certificate and/or proficiency in Chemotherapy nursing
- Sound clinical knowledge including expertise in CVAD care, IV Cannulation and medical infusions
- Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
- Flexibility to operate in an environment of change and a demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A personal approach which is positive, enthusiastic, friendly and helpful
- Reliable and professional work ethic, with a willingness and ability to learn
