The Position
As the Clinical Nurse you will be responsible for:
- Being an integral part of the ward leadership team, supporting the Nurse Unit Manager with staffing, coordination and patient flow
- Portfolio responsibilities in line with National Quality and Health Service (NSQHS) standard
- Working closely with the Manager to facilitate quality nursing care to our valued patients
- Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
- Coordinating and monitoring the planning, implementation and evaluation of service outcomes and nursing care standards
- Working closely with our VMOs and other members of the health team, to identify patient care needs, plan interventions and review outcomes of care
- Maintaining accurate and legally appropriate documentation of nursing services
- Being a strong role model, mentor and coach to other registered nurse in excellent clinical practice
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice
The Location
Located in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. Without being in the hustle and bustle of the city but still being 10minutes from the beach and shops.
Essential Criteria
- Authority to Work in Australia
- Post-graduate management qualification or working towards
- Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience as an RN
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Experience and a comprehensive clinical knowledge, particularly to surgical related health issues with a proven ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused
- Minimum 12months experience working as a Registered Nurse in Australia or New Zealand
