The Position

As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Playing a pivotal role to the multi-disciplinary health care team
  • Understanding the importance of providing nursing practice which focuses on the best possible outcomes for your residents
  • Demonstrating expert knowledge and skills whilst assuming a prominent management focus within the unit
  • Being an integral member of the department management team
  • Assisting the NUM in the course of their duties to ensure efficient operation of the clinical environment

 

The Location

Located in west Victoria, next door to the Grampians National Park showcasing exceptional natural environment, enviable climate, bush walking, rock climbing, cycling, fresh air in the great outdoors, local wineries and a great local community.

 

Essential Criteria

  • At least 12 Months working as a Registered Nurse in Australia
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Compliance with National Aged care quality Standards
  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team
  • Demonstrated provision of high-quality resident care
  • Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills
  • High motivation and willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of reliability and professional conduct
  • COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory for Residential Aged Care workers as listed under the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020
