The Position
As the Registered Nurse you will be responsible for:
- Delivering evidence based nursing care
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team
- Ensuring patient and staff safety
- Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
- Advanced clinical skills in chronic wound management, catheter management (IDC and SPC) and medication support in the community

Essential Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Minimum 12months working experience as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in nursing, post registration, in a clinical environment with recent experience in a community setting
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective and high quality nursing care in a complex, changing environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across staff, client, community and professional groups inclusive of skills to manage conflict
- Demonstrated understanding of wellbeing and reablement model of care and the health and related issues for elderly people, people with disabilities, and their carers and a sound understanding of key concepts of model for quality improvement
- Demonstrated understanding of the services available to support clients in their home and how to refer to such services
- Demonstrated commitment to working in a team recognising and respecting the contribution of all team members
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, motivated and to manage time effectively
- A personal approach which is positive, enthusiastic, friendly and helpful with an ability to innovate, influence, negotiate and persuade in a respectful and professional manner
- Experience and confidence with Information Technology including use of mobile devices in the field (desirable)
