The Position
As the Clinical Support Midwife you will be responsible for:
- Providing high standards of evidence-based midwifery care to women of varying ages and cultural groups
- Planning, assessing, implementing and evaluating midwifery care in collaboration with women, their families and the multidisciplinary team so as to achieve identified goals and health outcomes
- Supervising, directing, guiding junior nurses and undergraduate midwives in provision of midwifery care
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs

Essential Criteria
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency) as a Registered Midwife
- Minimum 12months experience as a Registered Midwife in Australia
- COVID-19 Vaccinations
- Demonstrated high level of clinical competence in Midwifery and Neonatal Care with a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience
- Demonstrated commitment to own professional development
- An understanding of the different learning principles and how that plays a role within the midwifery coach position
- The ability to work in all areas of midwifery practice – midwifery clinics, Birth Suite, Assessments and Women’s Ward (desirable)
