- The role is available fixed term, part time working a minimum of 30hrs per week

- Working in a mixed surgical ward, incorporating the Victorian Plastic Surgery Unit. We specialise predominantly in plastics/reconstruction and ENT surgery, with additional breast and urology/gynaecology surgery
The Position
As the Associate Nurse Unit Manager you will be responsible for:
- In-charge duties after-hours, including bed management, staff allocation and patient flow
- Post-operative patient care including clinical assessment, free flap monitoring and wound management
- Collaborating with consultants and the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient centred care
- Acting as a mentor, preceptor & resource for new and junior staff
- Contributing to ongoing ward improvement by participating in clinical risk management and quality improvement projects.

Work in a vibrant area just a few minutes from the Melbourne CBD with leafy green streets, modern restaurants and the Treasury Gardens close by.
Essential Criteria
- Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 12months experience working as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Previous ANUM or in-charge experience
- Current acute surgical nursing experience of at least 12 months working in one of the above specialties
- Additional qualifications in plastics/reconstruction desirable
- Demonstrated excellent communication, time management skills and critical thinking ability
