The Position
As the Registered Nurse you will be responsible for:
- Enhancing patients experience related to their preoperative/preadmission assessment and discharge planning
- Working in the Day Procedure unit for patient assessment prior to patient admission, and Recovery Stage 2 discharge planning and post discharge phone calls to patient
- Working efficiently within a multidisciplinary team of registered nurses, clinical nurse consultants, allied health and administration support staff

Essential Criteria
- Hold a current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 12months working as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- COVID19 Vaccinated
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Experience in discharge planning for patients
- Extensive clinical experience including pre and post op care for a range of surgical procedures
- Competent in the use of computers including Excel, Word, Outlook
- Experience working in an acute care hospital as a discharge planner and/or within a preadmission department
