- Full Time or Part Time permanent position available
- You will be responsible for supporting the Nurse Unit Manager and assisting in the overall clinical management and team leadership of the 19-bed overnight and 6-bed day case unit.
- You will care for babies (from 28 days), children and adolescents (up to 18 years), receiving care for both medical and surgical conditions.
The Position
As the Registered Nurse you will be responsible for:
- Caring for highly acute patients – spinal fusions for Scoliosis and Hi-Flow O2 Therapy
- Supporting patients across various surgeries - Orthopaedic, ENT, Plastics, Oral Maxillofacial and General Surgery as well as Pain Management and Endocrine
- Responding to emergency medical admissions through our expanding Paediatric emergency department
- Being part of the Leadership Team that focus on delivering exceptional patient, family and staff experience while achieving high-quality clinical outcomes
The Location
An inner suburb of Melbourne, approximately 3km east of Melbourne's CBD. This area offers some of Melbourne's favourite restaurants and cafes, is in close proximity to the biggest sports scenes in Australia and has a range of shopping available.
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration
- Clinical understanding of Paediatric nursing care
- Understanding of Child Safety Standards
- Post graduate qualification in Paediatric Nursing and/or Management is highly desired
