The Position
We are seeking a qualified Midwife with Dual registration to join a well established Midwifery Unit in the West regional area of Victoria.
You will support and work alongside the current team to ensure a high level of nursing care.
You will take accountability and responsibility for ensuring nursing practice is evidence based and uphold a positive & professional practice environment that is committed to excellence in patient outcomes.

Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurses with current AHPRA registration
- Dual Qualification essential
- Previous maternity and general acute experience essential
- Exceptional time management and communication skills
- A good understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Start date ASAP up to 0.8 EFT (64 hours per fortnight)
- To be able to work rotating rosters including weekends and public holidays, AM, PM and night duties
- Midwife lead birthing
- Birth room competent
- Able to work on a mixed ward
- FSEP Level 3 – preferable
- Provide antenatal, birth suite, postnatal, special care nursery, general surgical, medical and paediatric care
- Current Police Check (within 12 months old)
- Current Victoria – Working with Children’s Check
