The Position
As the Registered Nurse you will be responsible for:
- Either working in the Anaesthetic department or the PACU, depending on applicant preference and suitability
- Providing care for patients preoperatively, during and immediately following an anaesthetic (general anaesthesia, sedation or regional anaesthesia), surgery or any procedure that has the potential to produce life-threatening complications
The Location
Located in central Victoria in one of Victoria's fastest growing regional cities.
Essential Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
- Minimum 12months working experience as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Post graduate qualification in perioperative, perianaesthesia nursing, critical care or high dependency equivalent (desirable)
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and skills relevant to perianaesthesia, PACU, critical care or high dependency nursing with demonstrated experience with patient airway assessment and management techniques (desirable)
- Demonstrated sound communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal (desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of an inter-disciplinary team as well as independently (desirable)
- Demonstrated knowledge in Infection Control Principles (desirable)
