The Position

As the Acting Clinical Nurse Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Day to day clinical and operational management of the Anaesthetics/PACU team
  • Ensuring the timely commencement of elective surgery lists, appropriate staff skill mix, and clinical support
  • Fostering collaborative relationships with others
  • Providing guidance and support to the Anaesthetics/PACU team
  • Being accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources whilst ensuring customer service is maintained at optimal levels

 

The Location

Located in metro Perth surrounded by beautiful parklands and within walking distance to Perth City.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Current Registration with AHPRA
  • Minimum 12months experience as a Registered Nurse in Australia or New Zealand
  • Current experience working in Anaesthetics and PACU at a Clinical Nurse level
  • A strong commitment to professional development with a desire to work in a management role
  • Dedicated to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and build effective relationships with nursing and medical teams
  • Well-developed time management and prioritisation skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Computer literate including MS office and data applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding in labour management
  • Working with Children check
  • Eligible working rights in Australia
  • Post graduate certification in relevant specialty area and/or progression towards (desirable)
