The Position
As the Registered Nurse you will be responsible for:
- Providing evidenced based nursing care
- Providing all aspects of patient care including education, patient assessment, chemotherapy administration and referrals
- Ensuring patient and staff safety
- Supervising, directing and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
The Location
Located in the south-eastern suburbs of Melbourne with parks, cafes, grocers and restaurants in walking distance.
Essential Criteria
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 12months working as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- Working with Children check(if relevant)
- Current Chemotherapy administration experience
- Strong cannulation and CVAD management skills
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well independently and within a team
- Basic computer skills
- Work schedule flexibility
- Desirable to have male and female catheterization skills but not essential
