The Position
As the Clinical Nurse Educator you will be responsible for:
- Identifying learning requirements for the Anaesthetics/PACU clinical team, in conjunction with the theatre managers and developing a education and learning framework to address the skill and knowledge gaps
- Clinical support of staff through Graduate, Post Graduates and Transition programs to assist them in meeting the academic and clinical objectives
- Assisting in the development of the team through preceptorship, coaching, leadership and reflective practice to build a positive culture which in turn delivers excellent care
- Monitoring skill and knowledge development of staff to address performance and required upskilling
- Facilitating internal education programs, providing clinical support, upskilling and assessment to a growing workforce in Anaesthetics/PACU
The Location
An inner suburb of Melbourne, approximately 3km east of Melbourne's CBD. This area offers some of Melbourne's favourite restaurants and cafes, is in close proximity to the biggest sports scenes in Australia and has a range of shopping available.
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration
- Minimum 12months experience working as a Registered Nurse in Australia
- COVID19 Vaccinated or have a valid medical exemption
- Relevant Post Graduate qualifications
- Minimum 4 years clinical nursing experience in Anaesthetics / PACU
- Hold excellent communication skills, confidence in presenting in an engaging and supportive style, strong attention to detail and the ability to provide constructive and structured feedback
