The Position
As the Registered Midwife you will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical leadership and expertise in a chosen area of maternity including antenatal, intrapartum, or postnatal care
- Co-coordinating and providing advanced midwifery care to women in antenatal, postnatal, and birthing settings in accordance with Health Service Policies and Procedures
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team approach, including patient flow services, to facilitate timely, coordinated, and appropriate care of a high standard according to evidence based practice. This includes providing a supportive educational environment to enable women and their families to make informed choices about their care
Essential Criteria
- Be currently registered with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife
- Relevant midwifery and/or nursing qualifications and a minimum of three years’ experience working professionally in midwifery
- Commitment to flexibility and innovation in practice including an evidence-based approach to care
