- We have an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioners for a permanent role in Canberra
- The Division of Cancer, Ambulatory Support (CAS) provides a comprehensive range of cancer screening, assessment, diagnostic and treatment services and palliative care through inpatient, outpatient, and community settings
- The Walk- in Centres are a nurse-led primary health service that provides episodic care for minor injury and illness to the community. The Walk-in Centres are staff ed by Advanced Practice Nurses and Nurse Practitioners
The Position
As a Nurse Practitioner you will be responsible for:
- Demonstrating advanced clinical knowledge, skills, experience and extended practice in the clinical assessment, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral of patients with minor illness and injury
- Demonstrating commitment to ongoing professional development of self and others and the creation and maintenance of a teaching and research-orientated work environment
- Having the knowledge and understanding of current trends in primary healthcare practice and an ability to utilise a robust evidence-base to promote and influence clinical practice change
- Demonstrating an understanding of, and adherence to, safety and quality standards, work, health, and safety (WH&S) and the positive patient experience.

Located in Canberra, surrounded by restaurants, cafes, museums and shopping. Explore all the surrounding Reserves and National Parks that the Australian Capital Territory has to offer.
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration
- Extensive clinical experience in primary health care or within a relevant acute and/or primary care area.
